UPDATE: Wooden Clog Sandal

Update on my previous post! Today I picked up the Mia 'Madiera' sandal at Herbergers (they are available online as well)!

They are just what I wanted! Super comfy. High, but not too high of a heel for daily wear. I am obsessed! Now, we just need this snow & ice to go away...

Obsession: Wooden Clog Sandal

I have been searching and searching online for the perfect pair of wooden clog sandals for this Spring. I want to know my options before I actually hit the stores up. Also, you can have a great heel and nothing to wear it with so I hope to find the best heel that accomodates my Spring wardrobe & can function in my daily life as a Mom. As in, heel height is a major factor.

Hence, here are dream styles I will drool over:

First Day of Spring

I cannot tell you how I have anticipated this Spring. This must have been the longest Winter of all time in Minnesota. I am so looking forward to spending the upcoming months outside with my 1 year old.

Daddy & David checking the mail together.

In celebration of Spring, I decided to cash in my giveaway win from Christy at Inspire, Admire, and Design.

Out of the thousands upon, thousands of items I could have picked, I couldn't help getting this cute picnic table for our deck. I can just images my little guy with his friends sitting out on this table and having a snack together this summer.

Ahhhhh. It feels so good to be a Mom.

Pay it Forward: Scenic Glory

Thank to to Lindsay from Scenic Glory who has my Photobooth Film Strip up on her site. This is a woman who has more than 450 followers and she took the time to e-mail me multiple times to get my photos up! This also included a link to my site! How sweet is that?

Lindsay is a illustrator on her way to opening her own online print shop. Her whimsical blog features many of these illustrations as well as her super cute sense of style. I can almost see her sweet illustrations in her daily wear.

She also pays it forward by featuring other blogs in posts categorized as 'In Her Shoes'. Lindsay definitely reaches out to other bloggers, artists and fashionistas through her blog. A big reason I would think she is so popular!

Thank you Lindsay!

Cupey-Cake

Tomorrow is David's first Birthday party! Someone busted into the cupcake box a day early...

I am so excited and have planned so hard to make David's party perfect. After inviting 143 people we are expecting a comfortable 62. I have the most amazing Mom with the most amazing set of party planning skills. We have the best time putting these events together. I truly enjoy entertaining and having people in my home. It sounds silly but I always like to have a house that is prepared if someone was to stop over at any minute. I think maybe I am just hoping for visitors!

Anyway, a silly highlight for the party is the cupcakes! I ordered them from Sam's Club and they are affordable, cute & tasty! Here is the design I picked out (I opted for white frosting instead of green to avoid 60 people having clown face):

I also celebrated using cupcakes at my wedding. We ordered them from LindQuist Cake Shop in Columbia Heights. My family has been getting their cakes for a million years. We thought it would be something cute and different to do. My colors were ivory and antique gold so we had the cupcakes marbled with white frosting and accented with little gold leaves. Best part was the yummy filling on the inside. To die for.

Having a tea and cupcake party? I found this elegant vintage three tier cake stand by TeaJennys on Etsy. Wouldn't it make the best Sunday brunch or afternoon get together?

In closing, I will leave you with this little number that my husband and I have been singing around the house for years. Watch out though, it really can get stuck in your head in the cutest way.
